I should note that this doesn't appear to affect gameplay at all. |

I'm still not sure exactly what causes this (beyond that it's some flavor of calling crawl.do_commands when there is pending input already), but it might just be mashing keys too fast. https://github.com/crawl/crawl/commit/461d14e83c155adfa63b9a31ac5db4d7572cf030 [^] will hopefully change the error message to one that is less oblique, but until I know how to replicate it I don't know how to keep this from being an error of some kind. |

One factor in this may be lag in online play (which would explain why it's so hard to replicate locally). |

Recent quiver changes make targeting via CMD sequences a thing of the past, thankfully. |
