Summary | 0011487: Unintended behaviour with some corpses being un-choppable preventing counterplay to twisted resurrection. | |||||||||||
Description |
A little while ago it was changed so that spriggans can no longer butcher corpses, and all races cannot butcher inedible corpses. The twisted resurrection spell of deep elf death mages/high priests relies on there being a valid corpse to resurrect -- so the player can chop nearby corpses into chunks to prevent twisted resurrection. This means that spriggans in particular miss out on this counterplay to twisted resurrection for no reason, which seems to me like unintended behaviour that was not considered when chopping corpses was changed. (Animate Skeleton/Dead serves the same purpose, but that's unsatisfactory for eg Trog worshippers.) Not strictly a bug, I know, but Mantis doesn't have an option for "unintended behaviour". |
