Summary | 0011004: 32-bit versions of Crawl have white rectangles as graphics | |||||||||||
Description |
I'm relegated to playing version 0.19.1 of DCSS on my computer because it is the only version that was released for win64. All 32-bit versions of crawl look like this on my computer: http://imgur.com/GkkfBe0 [^] For comparison, here's the 64-bit version of 0.19.1: http://imgur.com/Equ9fqf [^] It doesn't matter which version of DCSS I test with (I've tried 0.19.1, 0.19.3, 0.19.4 and 0.19.5) and the only one that looks right is the 64-bit version of 0.19.1. If you had kept releasing 64-bit versions, I probably wouldn't even have made this blog post, but I updated DCSS to 0.19.5 today, and was met with white blocks all over my screen. Tried downgrading a few times through 0.19.4 and 0.19.3, before noticing that 0.19.1 had a 64-bit installer. And that one worked! To satisfy my curiosity, I also tried the 32-bit version of 0.19.1, and lo and behold, it too was broken. Is there any chance you could keep making 64-bit builds? I know it doesn't seem necessary, but to someone like me, it's the difference between a playable game and a screen full of garbage. |
