Summary 0010870: Unintended coding interaction between death channel and AOE spells
Description I Maybe not technically a bug, but I believe an unintended interaction: If you have death channel active and kill an enemy with fireball (and probably any other AOE spell, haven't tested), the spectral slave spawns in a random location near where they died (as is normal). However, because of the way that fireball hits each square in its area sequentially, there's a chance that the monster is killed by the fireball, resurrected as a spectral thing, and then hit again by the same fireball.

This is kind of a pain because it instantly turns your undead minion against you, making death channel a risky spell in a manner that at least I think is not a good design decision.

Can confirm this still exists as of 0.21-a0-531-gacddea6. Cast Death Channel, kill monster with Ignition, get hostile spectral thing, become sad.
