0010436: Boulder beetle disappears upon Ely pacification

Description

I used Heal Other on a boulder beetle to pacify it. It did get pacified as per the message I got, but it also vanished right out of sight as soon as it was pacified. It was not standing next to a set of stairs, nor a teleport trap - at least I did not get any message of it stepping into a trap or anything. Nor did it step out of sight; it just vanished outright. I can only speculate as to what this could be; hopefully y'all can find out what caused this.

I uploaded the savegame - at least, I think I did. Are any additional files required?

I believe that would have produced a message along the lines of "the boulder beetle goes up the stairs", but I saw no such message there, and the beetle was many tiles away from all staircases. (It was close to where my character is standing in that savefile, maybe a few steps southeast.)
