0003498: branch entry placed in vault, recoloured
In a recent game (I was going to back up the save once I got the level nice and clear but an orc got a wand of lightning and I didn't notice until it was too late), my Lair entry staircase got placed inside of a lemuel_castle in the recoloured (brown) bridgey bit, which recoloured it too. If it matters, it wasn't a mimic (I was able to step on it), though I doubt this recolouring applies to mimics too.
I'd say this is both a problem with recolouring features and placing branch entries in foreign vaults, but I don't know the intended design.

Yeah... for many vaults, having stairs inside them is ok, but downstairs on a bridge should lead into water and nowhere else...

There are two separate problems, though:
1. vaults allow features to be placed inside them
2. recolouring affects stairs, traps, etc. Stands out for example in dpeg_entry_orchard if there's a trap in it:

Staircases to lair should no longer appear inside already existing vaults
unless absolutely necessary after 0bd146626e09. Recolouring is yet to be
dealt with.

Branch entries haven't obeyed vault recolours in a while.
