0010670: Map knowledge revealed without having to explore it
This issue has been bugging me intermittently for over a year, and in fact I think it's a duplicate of https://crawl.develz.org/mantis/view.php?id=9739, [^] but finally I have clear evidence of the exact moment where it happens, which hopefully will help in tracking it down.

See https://youtu.be/2Gw0MIUHVuY?t=622 [^] for footage of the bug manifesting: I'm looking around the X map on Orc:2, and pressing v on some staircases for whatever reason, when suddenly part of the orc end vault is revealed to me, ad if I'd stood in the middle of it, which of course I haven't. I can't reliably reproduce this bug, but it happens to me pretty frequently and It seems to be related to X, and maybe to Xv specifically.

Discussed this a bit with PleasingFungus in IRC and we figured some stuff out.

(1) The revealed locations correspond to the location on the previous floor of a a down-staircase, the staircase matching the one I Xv'd.
(2) You can reproduce this reliably by, while standing on the previous floor, using X to navigate to a known/explored staircase, then pressing ]v to examine the other end of the staircase. This reveals, on the lower floor, the location where the upper half of the stairs is placed.

Root cause and fix still TBD.
