0009834: Gozag: "Unlinked temporary item" errors

Description

I received the following:

Unlinked temporary item:
5 gold pieces
     item #0: base: 13; sub: 0; plus: 294; plus2: 0; special: 0
     quant: 5; ident: 0x00000000; ident_type: 0
     x: 0; y: 0; link: 27000
Unlinked temporary item:
7 gold pieces
     item 0000002: base: 13; sub: 0; plus: 294; plus2: 0; special: 0
     quant: 7; ident: 0x00000000; ident_type: 0
     x: 0; y: 0; link: 0

...by following these steps:

1) In Lair:4 as a MiGl follower of Gozag I found a lake with two electric eels in it and a nearby, unused up-stairs
2) I killed both eels while they were in deep water (presumably both generated piles of gold that were dropped to the bottom of the deep water) and then proceeded immediately to the stairs
3) I went up and then back down the stairs

Upon returning to Lair:4, I received the error messages.
