A +3 dagger of speed. A double-edged fighting knife with a sharp point. Base accuracy: +6 Base damage: 4 Base attack delay: 1.0 This weapon's minimum attack delay of 0.5 is reached at skill level 10. (Your skill: 0.0)
Ideally, the display of the attack delay and minimum attack delay should take the speed brand into account.

The problem with taking speed brand into account is that mindelay for a weapon is not necessarily equivalent to 100% of attacks taking the same amount of time.
Two potential solutions:
a) take speed brand into account and show mindelay to two decimal places (problem: not obvious that attacks are randomly rounded to the nearest 0,1)
b) reword speed brand line to better make explicit that it reduces your attack delay by x%.
Option a seems preferable, to show the actual value. Another reason to explicitly show the correct mindelay: making it clear whether it affects how much weapon skill you need to reach that mindelay. (For that matter, it would be nice to display the *current* effective delay based on your current weapon skill.)
One other option:
c) change speed to not randomly round to the nearest 0.1, and use deterministic and consistent values instead. That might be significantly harder, though.
|(c) is pretty impossible; the game simulation only runs to a precision of 0.1.|
