Summary | 0006074: sewage "water" tiles
Description | May I suggest this tiles as replacement for 'green water' used in Sewers location (and maybe somewhere else). The ones we have now is so bright and poisonously green, it looks like nuclear waste or acid of some kind. I'm afraid to step in. And description says it's just a water.

I think these are better than the swamp tiles in the game but I'd add some high-contrast highlighting to mimic the shininess of liquid. |

I got a feeling that deep water is hard to distinguish from shallow unless you have both in view at once; that they both darken when out of LOS doesn't help. Thus, I'd say they look too plain now. |

Added some sparkles, although I think that swampy water looks better without it. Also changed base tile of deep swampy water. Now it must be more distinguishable. |

Thanks to KiloByte's branch, I was easily able to check these out. I think it was the previous version though, I had the same problem as KiloByte about distinguishing shallow and deep water. Haven't tried the new ones. I also kind of felt the floor and the water are too alike, they seem like very much the same green. Maybe the water could be a bit brownish (yum). Your original point - the water in sewers looking like it's acid - I completely agree with. --Eino |

Some alternative colors. |

New water added. It seams little better. And open ocean tiles are much better. Also it brings nice difference between textures of clear water and sewage. Shoals water smooth(er) and little more naturalistic edition added as well (see preview). Layout are the same as in feat.png. Use second variant. |

I think some of these tiles look a bit better than the in-game ones but they are basically recolourings. I'd love to see water tiles and particularly Shoals done from scratch - although any of the Shoals tiles here or on 0005864 would be less hard on the eyes than Shoals' current colour scheme. (I also noticed inverted version roctavian did, it evokes a "nighttime Shoals" feel which could almost be an entire alternative tileset) |

The shoals tiles from 5864 are in fact the current shoals tiles, as the sewage tiles from this entry are also the ones currently used. |
