Summary 0000024: Email notifications
Description How exactly do they work? Can they be set per user or does it have to be set for a whole group? How to fine-tune which events send out emails?

 Email notifications are sent to groups. In your user profile you can select to receive emails for certain kind of events which are sent to your group.

I have enabled group Developers, Managers and Administrators to receive email when a new issue is created.

What other changes to an issue should sent out emails?

 I would like to see emails for all comments on all issues, not just new issues. I can probably live without pure setting changes, but those would be nice too.

 I have enabled group Developers, Managers and Administrators to additionally receive email whenever an issue is created or a comment ("Bug-note") is added.

Please keep in mind that this is separate from the emails already being sent out by default when you
- are the reporter of an issue
- are assigned an issue
- are monitoring an issue
- have added a bug-note once (kinda activates monitoring)

Once any of the above is true, you will be informed about every detail changed in an issue - regardless of what else we we set here.

To prevent emails from reaching you you can go to "My Account" -> "Preferences" and set filters for emails there.

I have enabled email notifications about your own changes too.

Please let me know if any more changes about email notification are desired.

 Marking as resolved for now, as there seem to be no further issues or fine-tuning necessary related to email notifications.
