Summary | 0005033: Enemies do not use torment against summons | ||||||||||||
Description |
Enemies will only cast torment when the player is in view and is able to be tormented (i.e. is not undead). An undead (including lichform) character with, say, Summon Dragon, can exploit this. You can also achieve the same result by being off-screen from the enemies with torment. This way your summons are effectively torment-immune, even when they should normally be quite vulnerable to it. In theory, torment-susceptibility should be a major drawback of Summon Dragon (an extremely powerful spell when used right). In practice, torment has almost no impact. Note that summons _can_ be tormented. It's just that the player has to be in torment-range as well. |
