Summary | 0011676: Inconsistencies in Elyvilon pacification | ||||||
Description |
In my local game with Linux Tiles (32-bit, recent trunk build) I can reliably pacify Lair animal monsters (Hydra, Elephant, etc.) with 10 invocation and 100 piety, with 0% failure rate of being able to use the ability. This is consistent with how it has been for me in the past year at least. In my current online game with the account EthnicCake on crawl.jorgrun.rocks as a VsAs (0.22 Webtiles) I can't seem to pacify anything with higher Invo and piety, getting the message that the monster "is completely unfazed by your meager offering of peace", ie. is too strong to pacify, for all but the easiest monsters. The ability failure rate is 16%, same as Greater Healing. I feel like one of these is probably incorrect. Sorry I can't directly compare versions, I'll try to later on if needed. As far as I know there have been no recent (intentional) changes to this ability. BTW "meager" is the American spelling, all(?) other forms of English use "meagre" which I think is more in line with crawl's English. |

OOPS Please close, I am an idiot and have been training Evocations. That's what I get for playing late at night. Ugh. |
